Alexandra Nielsen is originally from Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania. She grew up heavily influenced and inspired by the artwork of the Wyeth family. Since attending school for photography in New Zealand, she has been working as a freelance photographer. Alexandra was living in Australia for about 5 years and only recently moved back to America after having her first baby.
Her most recent work, "The Backpacker," explores the unique way of life of a backpacker picking exotic fruit and living in Far North Queensland, Australia. This work was shortlisted as a finalist for the Australian Photography Awards.
