About Arthur Mercier

Young french photographer Arthur Mercier has a transversal relationship with image creation.
Graduated in film studies at the University of Bordeaux in 2011 and then at Nanterre in 2013 he spent more than seven years working on television and film shoots as a cameraman and stage manager before turning to photography in 2018.
Driven by the sense of coherence it brings him, Arthur decided to join EMI-CFD in Paris in 2020. Within the training of Reporter photographer-Photojournalist documentary he completes his apprenticeship with Julien Daniel and Guillaume Herbaut.

Thanks to the Laurent Troude Grant, of which he was the recipient in 2021, Arthur produced his first serie, "Icare," which has been showcased in festivals since. Today, he is immersed in the realization of his project "Zones Blanches," as the delighted winner of the major photo commission from the BNF (Bibliothèque nationale de France). Since the beginning of summer 2022, he has been traveling through the south of France in his minivan, meeting people affected by electro-hypersensitivity. He also works simultaneously for the French press and television.
