Chris Round is a photographer based in Sydney, Australia. His work primarily investigates our dynamic relationship with the contemporary environment, with a focus on landscapes that bear the imprint of direct human intervention. His work engages with the complex interplay between place, memory, and identity, inviting viewers to reconsider their own relationship to the natural and built environments that surround them. Through his careful and methodical approach, Chris seeks to capture the visual impact of these landscapes in a way that is both compelling and authentic. Chris also experiments with ideas outside his normal artistic practice, via his alternative name @roundtheotherplace. Themes include familial histories, bereavement, and mental health, as well as experimental ideas within the landscape genre.
