Christian Hoyer (b. 1983, Denmark) attended Copenhagen's technical school of photography in 2011 and thereafter went onto assisting some of the city's top commercial photographers within interior, advertising and fashion. Balancing his schooled background with a more artistic approach underlined by his near-obsessive interest in lighting.
Christian has recently turned to analog photography, examining the unruly elements of this medium. His most recent photography series "Wilted", was published in a major Danish newspaper in March 2019.
Christian has a particular interest in portraits, seeking to create images that capture the essence while revealing something more.
Christian works for a broad range of clients, from magazines to advertising agencies.
He lives in Copenhagen with his girlfriend and their two children.
