Emre Çakmak is a photographer based in Turkey. He is mainly interested in Street Photography and Documentary Photography. He is in search of magical moments in daily life. He generally uses different photography techniques for putting his imagination into the daily life scenes and bringing surreal view to the frame. Because he is inspired by both of daily life and surrealism movement, he tries to combine them. In this way, photography turns into a great way of expressing feelings and thoughts. His photozine named as Labyrinth was published by Bump Books. Also, some of his works were published in international magazines too and exhibited globally. He is one of the winners of Italian Street Photography Festival 2021 and The Ian Parry Scholarship 2021. He achieved the Special Jury Award in international Istanbul Street Photography Festival 2020 and Honorary Award in Aussie Street Photography Festival 2023. Some of his photos were selected and shortlisted in lots of international festivals and contests such as Lens Culture, Sony World Photo Awards, The Independent Photographer, Leica Street Photo Awards and many more. He was one of the juries of Istanbul Street Photography Festival helding in 2021.
