Giovanna Tonzanu is Italian, but she lives in Spain, where she teaches the Italian Language. She studied languages and literature, and this is the reason for her love for literature, poetry, and paintings. Her pictures try to tell a story, paint a scene, or create an atmosphere. In her photos, she tends to represent human beauty, bonds, loneliness, and social issues. She works on projects representing identity, time, places, and their mutual connection. Her last ongoing project, “And you shine, though", is about women and their struggle to be themselves in this society.
