About Ilias Lois

Ilias Lois (born 1994 in Greece; lives and works in Athens) is an artist working primarily with colour photography. He studied at the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts, Athens University of West Attica and at the Accademia di belle Arti de Venezia. His work has been presented in international festivals and institutions, including the Benaki Museum, Thessaloniki Archaeological Museum, Thessaloniki Museum of Photography and Klompching Gallery of NY. He is curating the Unfold and he is co-editing the contemporary photography magazines Velvet Eyes and Aldebaran. Since 2018, he has been running the Department of Photography | IEK Omiros of Athens. He has been awarded the Lensculture’s Emerging Talent Award 2018. In 2019, he published his first photobook Golden Peak.
