Janine Ward was born in South Africa but now lives in Melbourne, Australia with her husband and 3 children, after emigrating in 2004. She studied Film and Television Production at the Greenside Design Centre during 1994 and went on to work in the South African television industry for the next decade. She loves travel photography and has visited the USA, Canada, UK and Europe, Israel, Jordan, Vietnam, Thailand and Africa.
Janine has just completed her 2nd year of study, working towards an Advanced Diploma of Photography at PSC in Melbourne. During the past 3 years she has been awarded an Honorable Mention in the PABA (Pakistan American Business Association) 1st Annual Photo Competition (Landscape Section), was selected as 1 of 10 photographers to exhibit in the Victorian Archives Centre “Moving Melbourne” exhibition, and selected as a Finalist in the 2019 LensCulture Visual Storytelling Awards for her series "Come for Cocktails".
