Laura Ligabue was born in Reggio Emilia, Italy, in 1994. She holds a degree in Communication, and currently she is attending the last year of a master's degree in photography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. She shoots her projects almost exclusively on film, preferring a material approach, reasoned relying on the great quality of the medium format. She focuses in particular on people with a documentary eye in telling their stories and the places they inhabit, trying to show their true essence through spontaneous portraits in their spaces, illuminated by the natural light of the moment. Stories of ordinary people and apparently normal places that however have something special to tell.
