Łukasz Cynalewski, born 1976, head of the photo department of Gazeta Wyborcza in Poznań. Graduate of the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism at Adam Mickiewicz University. Since 1996 he was associated with the editorial office of Głos Wielkopolski, in 2001 he moved to Gazeta Wyborcza. Winner of many press photography awards: Grand Press Photo, BZWBK Press Foto, Journalist Award, Photojournalist of the Year in the "Politics" category and Wielkopolska Press Photo. His photos were published, among others, by "Polityka", "Wprost", "Newsweek" , "National Geographic", as well as abroad "The Guardian" and "Washington Post". He is a lecturer at the press photography studio at Collegium Da Vinci. He grew up among albums, prints and cameras. His father - Brunon Cynalewski was a well-known photographer from Poznan and from an early age his son assisted him in his work.
By virtue of his profession, he does every type of photography: from news photography, to portrait and sports photography, but street photography is his hobby. He is devoted to the classics of photography: Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneu and Elliot Erwitt are his masters.
Despite his classical standards, he experiments with technology, of which he is a great enthusiast. He is also interested in shooting short films using digital cameras, drones and 360 cameras.
