Max Donoso, born 1960, is a Chilean photographer living in the city of Valparaíso. His practice is linked to the issues of identity and memory, and has two lines of work: the production of books related to the historical heritage of Chile, and his passion for social issues in black and white analog photography.
Currently in Valparaíso, he is conducting a personal investigation on the mythical port that captivated Sergio Larraín. This work, entitled Mar Negra, is built from empathy with the precarious worlds that flow through the labyrinths of this city.
