My name is Nanda, I am an Amsterdam based photographer and artist.
Taking photographs connected me to the present moment. I became a silent observer of the world, paying close attention to moments, human beings and tiny details. By creating I transformed myself in a positive way. It was like I stepped into a simple boat that was floating in the river. And then, unexpectedly, the river took me to many places, effortlessly.
Taking a photo is like freezing a moment in time, which never happened before, and never will happen again. I find this utmost fascinating, I am forever chasing the concept of time and space.
In my portraits, there is space for emotions and vulnerability and a dash of rawness. I like to squeeze my eyes to find composition and a spectrum of contrast, that flows through the image.
