She mainly focuses on the three questions: Who am I? Who's the other? And how do we relate to each other?
Brandsma is a storyteller and has a fascination for the special hidden story. She does this in a documentary, conceptual or illustrative way. Brandsma photographs a project for a long time and questions her subjects in an intuitive and connecting way. She encourages the viewer to be curious without judging.
