Olga Steinepreis lives in Freigericht, Germany. In 2022-2023 she studied at The School of Photographic Arts by Elena Sukhoveeva and Viktor Khmel (Russia). In 2023 she won a study grant by The Academy of Documentary and Art Photography Fotografika and continues her education.
She became a finalist and category winner in many competitions e.g. The 2024 Feature Shoot Emerging Photography Awards, Exposure Photo Awards One Shot 2024, The Independent Photographer Portrait 2024, Lensculture B&W Photography Awards 2022, Kuala Lumpur Int. Photoawards 2023, Life Framer Open Call 2023, and others. Recently one of her projects was shortlisted by the Bar-Tur Photo Awards and Kolga Tbilisi Awards 2024. Her works were exhibited in Paris (France), Munich (Germany), Kuala Lumpur (Malaisia), New York (USA), and other cities.
Her projects were published in The Edge of Humanity Magazine, Magma Magazine vol.6 and also in the printed version of Dodho Magazine vol #27
In her works Olga reflects on motherhood and childhood through self-portraits and photos of her family members. She also explores identity, belonging, gender roles, status of women in contemporary society.
