Born in Maaninka, Finland in 1969. Lives and works in Helsinki, Finland.
Education: Masters of Art in photography 2002, University of Art and Design in Helsinki.
Riitta Päiväläinen has had numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world. Today her works can be found in several important collections, like Kiasma (The Museum of Contemporary Art) in Helsinki and State Art Council in Sweden.
Päiväläinen is interested in the growth of ideas, in the working process that leads from one thought to the next. Exploring same themes; going further and returning back, enables concentration and natural development
