Roderick McNicol

For decades now I have lived and worked in an old warehouse/daylight studio here in Melbourne, Australia. I have long been fascinated with photographic portraiture, drawing my subjects, over the years, from "my village" – that rich urban life that surrounds my studio, with its many vital and varied subcultures. I have exhibited my work extensively both here in Australia and internationally and my work is held in major collections includng the National Gallery of Australia and the Bibliotheque Nationale, France
