I am a Belgian photographer (born in 1975) living and working in Luxembourg. My goal is to explore the notion of man-made utopias, where humans build and live their dreams, fantasies or hopes in search of an ideal.
'Paradise City' is my fourth photobook and is published by GOST Books. The work was shown among others at Les Boutographies festival (Montpellier) in 2019, where it won 4 awards.
My previous projects included Gypsy Queens (Husson Editions, 2013), focusing on the bittersweet happiness of wealthy Roma women living in shiny palaces; and Eunma Town (self-published, 2015), where I chased the Korean dream through an iconic Seoul apartment complex symbolic of the Korean economic miracle.
Eunma Town was shortlisted by the Kassel Fotobook Festival and selected in the best photobooks of the year by Lens Culture.
My works have been exhibited in Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Netherlands and Poland. My project Kuck Elei was exhibited at the Rencontres Internationales d’Arles in 2017.
