Born in Vienna and raised in Athens, my life seemed split in two cities right from the start. I went back to Vienna to pursue my Diploma in Hotel Management, following my family’s tradition in the industry. But I wanted to learn more. I moved to London, where I earned a BA in Hospitality Management and an MSc in Corporate Communications. London has been my home for over a decade, having worked in the luxury hospitality industry that was flourishing.
Yet a rapture took place; I felt the urge to create, to communicate the way I understand the world. I wanted to travel. I decided to set my base in Greece and since 2011 I organize from there my worldly adventures.
A self taught photographer taking pictures from the heart, I always thought creating stories with photographs was the way I expressed my take on the world. I make use of photography to achieve this. I feel it provides me a way to think and a way to narrate. For a very long time I felt I had to travel at the other end of the world to create but as I have been growing more and more into my own skin I look for inspiration much closer to home. I feel motherhood has helped a lot in that sense.
My adventures consist of journeys, where I unfold my own presets and alterations. Either railed by the Transiberian wagons or focused on what it means “To Build a Home”, I conceive my part on photography as a chronicle making, a venture into story making.
I am currently living on the island of Crete, where I created my family. My husband and my son, we all make part of a team, trying to combine running two beach hotels, a restaurant as well as building a new home, while preparing to welcoming our twin girls into the family.
